# Create contact group

Create a contact group. Returns 201 with the group.

Scope: `send`

**Body** (JSON)

- `name` (string, required): Group name, 1–80 characters. Names with the same slug (e.g. "VIP" and "vip") conflict.
- `description` (string): Optional internal note.

**Errors**

- `unauthenticated` (401): Missing or invalid API key.
- `invalid_request` (400): Body is not valid JSON, or name is missing or over 80 characters.
- `insufficient_scope` (403): The API key is missing the send scope.
- `name_taken` (409): A group with the same name (slug) already exists.
